 J. Judson Briggs, O.D.

Dr. Judson Briggs of Dunwoody. A native of Memphis, Dr. Briggs earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Tennessee. After receiving his Doctor of Optometry from the University of Alabama Birmingham School of Optometry he founded Briggs Group. With a satellite clinic in Duluth, and the addition of his daughter Dr. Rebecca Briggs Garnier in 2015, the practice has grown to accommodate six optometrists.

Dr. Briggs is an active member of the Georgia Optometric Association and was honored to serve as President in 2016. Dr. Briggs was named GOA Optometrist of the year for 2016. He is an active member of the American Optometric Association and is a Diplomat of the American Board of Optometry. He is a past recipient of the Legislative Service Award as well as the Bernard L. Kahn Memorial Award. Dr. Briggs has received the Optometric Recognition Award four times for his achievements in optometric education.

Dr. Briggs led the EyeCare Team at the Atlanta Olympics, providing eyecare for visiting athletes. He is also a regular volunteer at the annual Georgia Special Olympics, providing eye care for special needs athletes.

Dr. Briggs enjoys teaching and has hosted and trained many externs from Optometry Colleges across the country. Along with teaching, he has been featured in several eye related publications, and has been a clinical investigator and speaker for manufacturers in the eyecare industry.

Dr. Briggs believes that one of God’s most precious gifts to man is sight. He truly cares for his patients and strives to help them look and see their best. Dr. Briggs considers it a privilege to serve his community and remains passionate about providing the finest eyecare possible for every individual that visits Briggs Vision Group.

He resides in Dunwoody with his wife Tammy and their four children.


 

Erick H. Smith, O.D.

Dr. Smith grew up in the Atlanta area and attended Auburn University where in 1988 he received his Bachelor of Science degree. He also received his doctorate of Optometry in 1992 from the University of Alabama in Birmingham. Certified by the National Board of Optometry and the Georgia State Board, Dr. Smith is recognized for his clinical expertise and commitment of quality eyecare. He has also received special training in the treatment and management of ocular disease.

He and his wife reside in Duluth with their four boys.


 

Christal G. Sellers, O.D.

Dr. Sellers is a native of Cartersville, Georgia. After completing her undergraduate studies at West Georgia College in Carrollton, she attended Southern College of Optometry in Memphis. She has received additional training in the treatment and management of ocular disease and pediatric eyecare.

She and her husband reside in Duluth with their four boys.


 

Amy Brooks O'Neal, O.D.

Originally from Atlanta, Dr. O'Neal attended Westminster Schools. She completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Georgia graduating Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science in Microbiology. Dr. O'Neal received her doctorate of optometry from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. She is certified by the National Board of Optometry and the Georgia State Board of Optometry. Dr. O'Neal specializes in comprehensive family eyecare with additional training in pediatric eyecare and ocular disease.

Dr. O'Neal currently resides in Alpharetta with her husband Rob and their daughter.


 

Mary Elizabeth F. Brice, O.D.

Dr. Brice is a residency-trained optometrist specializing in ocular disease and refractive surgery. She began her college career at the University of Arkansas on a golf scholarship and transferred her junior year to the University of Georgia where she graduated Cum Laude with a degree in Microbiology. She earned her Doctor of Optometry degree from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. During her time at UAB, she served as the Vice President of Student Volunteers for Optometric Services to Humanity (SVOSH) and was an active member in providing eyecare to the underprivileged locally and overseas. After optometry school, she completed a residency at Woolfson Eye Institute here in Atlanta, where she received additional training in ocular disease including anterior segment and external eye disease, posterior segment ocular disease, diagnosis and management of hypertensive and diabetic retinopathy, glaucoma diagnosis and management, pre and postoperative evaluation and management of cataract, pterygium, and refractive surgery patients.

She is an active member of the American Optometric Association, Georgia Optometric Association, and the Greater Atlanta Optometric Association.

Dr. Brice is originally from Tullahoma, Tennessee. She enjoys golf, tennis, traveling, movies, as well as spending time with her family and friends.


 

Rebecca Briggs Garnier, O.D.

Dr. Briggs Garnier is from Dunwoody and attended Wesleyan school. She studied Biological Sciences at University of Georgia and completed her education at Southern College of Optometry in Memphis.

She is certified by the National Board of Examiners and the Georgia State Board of Optometry. Dr. Briggs Garnier is trained in comprehensive eye care and treats and manages patients with ocular disease. She has extensive experience fitting soft and rigid gas permeable contact lenses. In addition, she received training in pre and post-operative care of cataract and refractive surgery patients. Dr. Briggs Garnier is an active member of the Greater Atlanta Optometric Association.

She currently resides in Buckhead with her husband, Jason, and their two dogs. The couple are travel enthusiasts and enjoy spending time with their family and friends.
